Boston Public Library

The Boston Public Library (BPL)—the nation’s first free metropolitan lending library—and the City of Boston planned a banner revitalization project aimed at activating the street in front of the Johnson Wing.

Feldman Land Surveyors was tasked with performing 3D laser scanning and revit modeling services for the project’s architect, William Rawn Associates.

Also, as part of our pro-bono Scanning Historic Boston Program, we captured the data of the McKim Building, affectionately referred to as “the palace of the people” by its original architect Charles Follen McKim in 1895. We then integrated this data into the project model.

St. Sebastian’s School

St. Sebastian’s School—an independent Catholic middle and high school committed to academic rigor and athletic excellence—needed surveying work done, and Feldman Land Surveyors were called to be on the team.

Our firm’s services were retained to provide all necessary survey work related to the permitting and planning of St. Sebastian’s campus wide development projects such as its new Science, Math and Library Center to mark the school’s 70th anniversary.

The Street

The second home to Bruins, Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics players who like to swing a golf club between games, the Granite Links Golf Club at Quarry Hills ranks amongst the best 100 courses in the U.S., as selected by Golf Digest.

But before it could be on par with America’s finest fairways, Granite Links Golf Club first called Feldman Land Surveyors. And, except for the amazing panoramic views, we provided everything from boundary to topographic surveys.

Archstone Quarry Hills

Today, next to the celebrated Granite Links Golf Club, sits Archstone Quarry Hills—a luxury residential community just minutes off Interstate 93. Yet the original Quincy, MA development site was densely wooded and fraught with challenging topography.

Feldman was first called upon to supply the initial ALTA survey and existing conditions mapping. Later, it was our pleasure to perform field surveys to locate wetland flags, construction layout and final as-builts for the entire multi-family development project.

Olmsted Green

On the site of the now defunct Boston State Hospital is located one of the biggest development projects undertaken within the city’s limits in over 50 years.

Upon its completion, Olmsted Green will be a vibrant urban community comprised of town homes, apartments, senior housing and even an assisted living facility. Our work on the project began by providing an existing conditions survey and boundary survey for the former site of the hospital.

Today, Feldman continues to work with New Boston Development Partners, Mass Audubon, Hearth and Lena Park in the ongoing development and improvement of Boston’s newest residential neighborhood. From subdivision plans to condominium plans and from ALTA surveys to construction layout, we’re pleased to supply them all.
