Olmsted Green

On the site of the now defunct Boston State Hospital is located one of the biggest development projects undertaken within the city’s limits in over 50 years.

Upon its completion, Olmsted Green will be a vibrant urban community comprised of town homes, apartments, senior housing and even an assisted living facility. Our work on the project began by providing an existing conditions survey and boundary survey for the former site of the hospital.

Today, Feldman continues to work with New Boston Development Partners, Mass Audubon, Hearth and Lena Park in the ongoing development and improvement of Boston’s newest residential neighborhood. From subdivision plans to condominium plans and from ALTA surveys to construction layout, we’re pleased to supply them all.

Marina Bay

Just seven miles to the south of downtown Boston, on the site of the former Squantum Naval Air Station, sits Marina Bay—an amazing mixed-use development complete with full-service marina, luxury condominiums, restaurants and a variety of commercial spaces.

From its inception, Marina Bay has called upon Feldman Land Surveyors to be involved with every building project completed to date. And since this flagship development still has room to grow, we’ve most recently been working on land court subdivisions, ALTA surveys and existing conditions surveys for the present day developers.

John Hancock Tower

In 1968, Feldman performed the first existing conditions survey so I.M. Pei could begin the design and planning of this iconic structure. We were in charge of the critical construction layout. And so began our longstanding relationship with the John Hancock Tower, Boston’s tallest office building and the only one recognized by the American Institute of Architects as a beloved structure.

Over the years, we’ve not only provided our services to the surveying needs of the 62-story main Tower, but our recent work has also included 3D laser scanning in the loading bay for the construction of new parking, as well as existing conditions surveys for that project.

In addition, we’ve been performing ALTA/ACSM land title surveys for the Tower and portfolio including the “Little John Hancock” and the garage that is built on air rights over the Massachusetts Turnpike.

Liberty Wharf

In 2010, Liberty Wharf became Boston’s hottest waterfront destination complete with modern office space, award-winning restaurants and access to the Boston Harbor Walk.

In preparation for the opening of this mixed use seaport development, Feldman Land Surveyors provided Cresset Development with surveys of D Street and Harborview Lane that enabled the client and design team to establish the view corridors to the ocean.

Later, we performed ALTA/ACSM land title surveys; existing conditions surveys; construction layout; a FEMA flood certificate; and a final as-built and ALTA survey for long term financing.

Dana Farber

In 1947, a year after we opened our doors, the world-renowned Dana-Farber Cancer Institute opened theirs and began providing the best cancer treatment and compassionate care available.

Over the decades, we’ve had the pleasure of working with this exceptional health care institution on all of their major building projects. Services we’ve provided include everything from 3D laser scanning to detailed topographic and utility surveys.

Most recently, we were called upon to provide our services—including construction layout—to assist Walsh Brothers and Dana Farber in the creation of the new Yawkey Center for Cancer Care, a 14-story state of the art clinical care facility designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects.
